Canadian Sioux Fish Chowder Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups raw fish fillets, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
  • 4 cups cubed potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup Half-and-Half cream
  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon each of parsley or chives
How to cook Canadian Sioux Fish Chowder:
  • Add potatoes, onions, salt and pepper to water.
  • Cook about 10 minutes, until vegetables are soft, but not completely cooked.
  • Add fish and cook 10 minutes.
  • Add milk and cream, stir and heat 15 minutes longer. (DO NOT BOIL.)
  • Serve the fish chowder hot with parsley or chives.
