Easy Deep Fried Fish Recipe
Serves/Makes: 6
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (1 kg) fish fillets
- 2 cups (280 g) sifted all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons (15 mL) salt
- 2 teaspoons (10 mL) baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- 2 tablespoons (30 mL) oil
- Oil (for deep frying)
- Into a deep-fryer, preheat frying some oil to 375°F (190°C).
- Into a bowl, mix together flour, salt and baking powder.
- Coat fish fillets with mixture, reserving remaining mixture.
- Lightly beat eggs; beat in milk and oil.
- Mix in remaining reserved flour mixture; beat until smooth.
- Dip fish fillet into mixture until completely coated.
- Deep fry fish fillets until crisp and golden brown.
- Drain onto paper toweling before serving.
Notes:
Serve with French fries.
