Gratin Shrimps Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds (675 g) medium size shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) melted butter
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) sherry or dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) freshly chopped parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 3 shallots, finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) dried oregano, crushed
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) breadcrumbs
  • Pinch of freshly ground pepper
  • Pinch of salt
How to cook:
  • Arrange shrimps into 4 oven-proof individual dishes.
  • Sprinkle with sherry or dry white wine.
  • In a bowl, mix together parsley, garlic, shallots, oregano, breadcrumbs, pepper and salt.
  • Sprinkle shrimps with mixture.
  • Then sprinkle all over with melted butter.
  • Bake in a preheated 325 degrees F (160°C) oven, until just boiling.
  • Serve the Gratin Shrimps really hot.

Notes:

Gratin - A dish that is topped with cheese or breadcrumbs and grilled until golden and crispy. French - au Gratin.
