Indian Prawn and Mango Curry Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound peeled prawns (shrimps)
  • 2 large green mangoes
  • 1 coconut, grated (shredded)
  • 6 green chilies
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 onions, chopped
  • 1 sprig fresh curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • Salt to taste
How to cook Indian Prawn and Mango Curry:
  • Peel the mangoes, chop into small pieces then leave in a bowl of water to avoid discoloration.
  • Grind the coconut, chilies, garlic and onions to a paste and place in a pan with the drained mangoes, prawns, curry leaves and oil.
  • Simmer gently until hot then add the water and season to taste with salt. Bring to the boil and simmer gently until the ghee appears on the surface.
  • Serve the Indian Prawn and Mango Curry hot with steamed plain rice.
