Jewish Parmesan Broiled Tilapia Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon white wine
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Dash of pepper
  • 2 sliced lemons (for garnish)
  • Fresh Italian parsley, chopped (for garnish)
How to cook Jewish Parmesan Broiled Tilapia:
  • Combine butter or margarine, onion, chives, and mayonnaise. Add Parmesan cheese and mix well. Set aside.
  • Place the tilapia fillets in baking dish in one layer. Pour lemon juice, wine and Worcestershire sauce over fish. Season with pepper.
  • Broil fillets about 6 - 8 minutes, depending on thickness of fish. Frost the tilapia fillets with cheese mixture and broil 3 minutes longer.
  • Place the Parmesan broiled tilapia fillets on a serving plate and garnish with lemon slices and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
