Mozambique Grilled Shrimps Piri-Piri Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh prawns or shrimps, shelled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
    Marinade:
  • 2 tablespoons crushed dried piri-piri chile (or substitute piquins), seeds included
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons lime or lemon juice, fresh preferred
How to cook Mozambique Grilled Shrimps Piri-Piri:
  • Melt the butter and add the oil and the remaining marinade ingredients. Simmer for a couple of minutes to blend the flavors.
  • Toss the shrimp in the marinade and marinate for a couple of hours.
  • Thread the shrimp on skewers and grill over charcoal or broil, basting with the marinade, until done.
  • Heat the marinade and serve on the side.

Comments:
