Oyster Vol-Au-Vents Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 dozen oysters
  • 1 dozen vol-au-vent shells
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped finely
  • 1 medium onion, chopped very finely
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
How to cook:
  • Melt butter and mix in flour to make a roux.
  • Add seasoning, onion and oyster juices and stir until thickened.
  • Add cream and oysters and simmer gently until oysters are cooked.
  • Place the simmered oyster mixture in vol-au-vents and heat through in a hot oven before serving.

The Oyster Vol-Au-Vents recipe is delicious, simple, and really easy to cook.
