Poached Tilapia (Pinaksiwang Tilapia) Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 pieces tilapia fish (cleaned and scaled)
  • 1 small ginger
  • 1 ripe guava (quartered)
  • 6 pieces guava leaves
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Pinch of salt
How to cook Poached Tilapia (Pinaksiwang Tilapia):
  • In a casserole, arrange fish, ginger, guava and guava leaves.
  • Pour in vinegar and coconut milk.
  • Season with salt.
  • Cook covered over medium heat and let boil until fish is done.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
