Polynesian Tuna Fish Salad Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4 - 6
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flaked tuna fish, canned or freshly cooked
- 1/2 cup celery, diced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1/2 cup cooked peas or beans
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 4 - 6 lettuce leaves
- Remove the bones from the fish.
- Mash the taro.
- Combine together in a bowl tuna fish, celery, onion, and cooked peas or beans.
- Mix carefully, do not to break the fish into too small pieces.
- Serve the Tuna Fish Salad on lettuce leaves. Garnish with sliced eggs.
Note:
Tips:
Cooked yams or sweet potatoes can be used instead of taro.
