Somali Crab Meat Stew Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 5 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • Salt
How to cook Somali Crab Meat Stew:
  • Melt the butter in a frying pan and saute onion, garlic, coriander, salt, ginger, pepper and cumin.
  • Saute until the onion is golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add crab meat and saute over low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Serve the sauteed crab meat with rice.
