Tuna Macaroni Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 (6 1/2-ounce / 184-mL) can flaked tuna fish
  • 2 cups (500 mL) macaroni elbows
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) salt
  • 4 cups (1 L) boiling water
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons (30 mL) chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) curry powder
  • 1 (10-ounce / 284-mL) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) breadcrumbs
  • Diced butter
How to cook Tuna Macaroni Casserole:
  • Pour macaroni into an 8-cup (2-L) casserole.
  • Salt and pour in boiling water.
  • Microwave, uncovered, for 6 to 8 minutes on 'MEDIUM-MAXIMUM'.
  • Leave to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Drain pasta.
  • In casserole, well mix together tuna fish, chopped onion and parsley, curry powder and cream of chicken soup.
  • Well mix in cooked macaroni.
  • Sprinkle mixture with breadcrumbs dot with butter dices.
  • Microwave, uncovered, for 6 to 8 minutes, on 'MEDIUM-MAXIMUM'.
  • Leave to rest for 5 minutes, before serving.

Notes:

Oven: 700 watts
Preparation time: 8 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Waiting time: 5 minutes
To vary, use any desired cream soup.
