Clams Casino Recipe
Serves/Makes: Makes 6 servings or 24 appetizers.
Ingredients:
- 2 dozen live clams
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 4 tablespoons chopped green pepper
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs
How to cook:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Open clams and discard top shell.
- Place clams in a shallow baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt 4 tbsp. butter and sauté the garlic and green pepper for 2-3 minutes.
- Add remaining butter, lemon juice and bread crumbs, mixing thoroughly.
- Place 1 teaspoon of mixture on top of each clam and bake for 10 minutes.
