Easy Marinated Herring Recipe
Serves/Makes: 8 - 10
Ingredients:
- 2 - 3 salted herrings
- 2 onions
- 1 oz. vegetable oil
- Vinegar
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 laurel leaf
How to cook:
- Skin and bone the herrings, wash them.
- Cut them into pieces.
- Place them into a glass jar inter laying them with the sliced onions, black pepper, vegetable oil and the laurel leaf.
- Soak the mixture in the vinegar water for a day or two.
- Before serving, place the herrings on a long plate and garnish them with the onions from the mixture.
