Oysters Parmesan Recipe
Serves/Makes: 4
Ingredients:
- Oysters
- 1 teaspoon (5 mL) minced chives
- 1 teaspoon (5 mL) chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon (5 mL) lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 mL) salt
- Garlic (optional)
- 1 cup (250 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup (250 mL) soda cracker crumbs
- Butter
How to cook:
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Scrub and wash oyster shells arrange onto 2 baking sheets.
- Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
- Mix together some butter, chives, parsley, lemon juice, salt and, to taste, garlic.
- Open-up oyster shells arrange oyster half back onto baking sheets, being careful not to loose any of the liquid.
- Dot each oyster with a little butter mixture (the size of a pea).
- Mix together Parmesan cheese and soda cracker crumbs.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon (15 mL) of crumbs mixture over each oyster.
- Bake, on the top rack of the oven, for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden.
